We’re pretty good at making the big moments feel special. Birthdays. Vacations. Promotions. Celebrations. We plan for them, look forward to them, take the photos, and remember them for years.
But most of a life isn’t made up of the big moments. It’s made up of all the ordinary days in between.
For a long time, I was really good at filling those days. I spent a decade building and scaling startups, always working toward the next launch, the next goal, the next thing. I loved what I did, but I also started noticing how easy it was to put the things I wanted to do just because they sounded fun on the back burner.
I should try that someday. We should do something fun this weekend. I want to make more time for that. Then another week would go by.
The more I thought about it, the more I realized this wasn’t just about me. So many of us want more joy, connection, creativity, play, and curiosity in our lives. The desire is already there. Making space for it is the hard part.
We wait for someone to make the plan. For the vacation. For a free Saturday. For a special occasion. For life to get a little less busy.
I started wondering: what if experiencing something new didn’t have to require all of that?
That’s where Romanticize Collective began.
